In recent decades, people has gradually focused on creativity especially in education and society. Through teaching activities, students may be able to use possibility thinking in their classes for developing creativity. Hence, it is important that understanding how teachers can develop children’s creativity by supporting possibility thinking. As a dance teacher, I am looking forward to bringing this knowledge into my teaching. Through a theoretical analysis and experiential combination, this paper aims to explore how teachers can cultivate children’s creativity by facilitating possibility thinking

Analysis on Simulation Experiment of Outburst in Uncovering Coal Seam in Cross-cut

AbstractBased on the criteria of the Hoek-Brown rupture, the stress state of the coal's outburst is analyzed. The establishment of coal mining mechanical model and the critical pressure of the gas outburst are obtained on the basis of catastrophe theory, and then cross-cut outburst process of uncovering coal is classified as outburst breeding, outburst initiation, outburst development and outburst termination. Choosing Luling coal mine's #8 coal seam as a sample, this article relies on the large-scale three-dimensional coal and gas outburst experiment platform of the Key Laboratory of Mine Disaster Prevention and Control of Shandong University of Science and Technology to conduct cross-cut uncovering coal outburst simulation experiment. Through analysis of the surrounding rock stress and gas pressure experimental data, surrounding rock mechanical properties and the change situations when outburst happens in the process of uncovering coal are obtained. The experiments show that: when outburst occurs, the greater changes of crustal stress and gas pressure happen near the outburst mouth; and the stress and gas pressure in front of outburst mouth change significantly more than that at the rear of the mouth

Anthropomorphism of Intelligent Personal Assistants (IPAs): Antecedents and Consequences

    Get PDF
Based on the distinctively anthropomorphic features of intelligent personal assistants (IPAs), this paper proposes a theoretical model to investigate the antecedents and consequences of IPA anthropomorphism based on three-factor theory. Specifically, it is hypothesized that anthropomorphic features of IPAs, which are synthesized speech quality, autonomy, sociability and personality, positively affect IPA anthropomorphism. Meanwhile IPA anthropomorphism influences IPA self-efficacy and social connection positively. IPA self-efficacy and social connection, in turn, are positively related to intention to explore IPAs. Scales will be developed and data will be collected through online survey. Then structural equation model (SEM) will be applied to validate the model

A Proposed Theoretical Model of Discontinuous Usage of Voice-Activated Intelligent Personal Assistants (IPAs)

Based on the contradictory phenomenon of rapid development of Voice-Activated Intelligent Personal Assistants (Voice-Activated IPAs) and discontinuous usage of it, this paper investigates the antecedents of discontinuous usage of Voice-Activated IPAs. We first analyze the topic of Siri usage discussion from Zhihu\u27s Q&A website, and then propose a theoretical model which hypothesized that discontinuous usage of Voice-Activated IPAs are affected by perceived ambiguity, cognitive overload, privacy concern, social embarrassment and lack of integration. It is hypothesized that perceived ambiguity will exert nonlinear impacts on discontinuous usage. Meanwhile, perceived ambiguity is also affected by level of personification in a nonlinear way. Scale development and data collection would be conducted for the future work. It is expected that the results our research could provide theoretical and practical implications for the design of Voice-Activated IPAs

The current global outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to be a severe threat to human health. Rapid, low-cost, and accurate antigen detection methods are very important for disease diagnosis. The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) nucleocapsid protein (N-Protein) is often used as the diagnostic and screening for coronavirus detection. To this end, we propose and experimentally validate a highly sensitive whispering gallery mode (WGM) optical cylindrical micro-resonator (CMR) for bio immunoassay detection. To study the biokinetic process of immunoassay, the surface of the WGM micro-resonator is functionalized with N-Protein monoclonal antibody (N-Protein-m Ab), which led to the specific detection of N-Proteins. The spectral characteristics of the WGM resonance dip were investigated, and it is found that the transmission spectrum of WGM shows a monotonically increasing red-shift as a function of recording time. The WGM red-shift is due to the antibody-antigen reaction and can be used for the analysis of the immunoassay process. The wavelength shift is shown to be proportional to the concentration of N-Protein, which ranges between 0.1 and 100 ÎĽg /mL. Finally, different types of samples (concentration of 10 ÎĽg /mL of N-Protein) were prepared and tested to simulate the specificity of the sensor in the practical application environment. This method has the merits of a rapid assay, lower expense, easy preparation, and miniaturization, which makes the sensor have the potential for broad applications in the field of biochemistry and biomedical detection
